Day 46 of Lochlan’s healing journey with near haploid leukaemia.
It started with a trip to the local hospital for more chemo and de—accessing his port. The chemo didn’t take long but the removal of all of the stickers of the dressing is always a traumatic experience for him and lots of tears and yells of agony were expressed.
Then after lunch Lochlan had a treatment with a rife frequency machine to help him feel more relaxed and calm after such a busy week.
When we got back home we spent time grounding outside and taking deep breaths. We went for a walk back to our apple trees and Lochlan continued to improve on his mobility outside.
He had some quiet time in his room and I spent some time for myself. I laid in the sun and enjoyed the fresh air while listening to music and spending time praying.
Together Lochlan and I had a good cry and chat about life and all that he is going through. Then he had a detox bath— his first fully submerged bath in nearly two months! He felt so good to soak neck deep and have some time to relax.
After his bath he said, “it’s been a long time since I felt this good. Like I could live like this. Almost like I don’t have cancer.”
We filled the in between times of the day with eating plenty of nourishing food, and a lot of liquids to flush the remnants chemo out.
And finally, daddy and Luke arrived home after a week of being away for a fencing training camp 🤺. Our family is back together again and that sure lifted Lochlan’s spirits.
This journey is definitely so hard but the love and support from the amazing people who take care of Lochlan make it a little easier to move forward one step at a time.
